Recipe – Toulouse Sausage & Roasted Pepper Tart

Description

A flaky puff pastry tart topped with slices of Toulouse sausage, roasted peppers, and melted cheese — ideal for brunch or lunch.

Ingredients:

  1. 3 Toulouse sausages, sliced

  2. 1 sheet puff pastry

  3. 2 roasted red peppers, sliced

  4. 1 cup grated Gruyère or cheddar

  5. 1 small onion, thinly sliced

  6. 1 tbsp olive oil

  7. 1 tsp fresh thyme

  8. 1 egg (for pastry glaze)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200 °C. Sauté onions in olive oil until soft.

  2. Roll out pastry on baking sheet; layer onions, peppers, sausage slices, and cheese. Sprinkle thyme.

  3. Brush edges with beaten egg. Bake for 30–35 min until golden and puffed.
