La Laitière's Ile Flottante is a firm and light dessert made with egg whites prepared from extra-fresh eggs, a vanilla-flavoured custard, all sprinkled with crispy Caramel Flakes. This dessert was made in Ladhuie (Lot-et-Garonne), using French milk.
Ingredients
Floating island: Whole milk (57.3%), extra-fresh egg whites (15.2%), sugar, extra-fresh whole eggs (4.6%), extra-fresh egg yolks (3.5%), rice starch, natural vanilla flavouring, thickener (xanthan gum), vanilla pods used up. Topping: Caramel (sugar, glucose syrup).
