Recipe – Foie Gras & Fig Chutney Canapés

Description

Foie Gras & Fig Chutney Canapés bring together creamy foie gras and sweet fig chutney on crisp toasts. A perfect bite-sized French appetizer for elegant parties, holiday gatherings, or festive starters.

Ingredients 

  1. 120g foie gras (torchon or terrine)

  2. 12 small toasts or blinis

  3. 3 tbsp fig chutney

  4. Microgreens or chives (optional)

  5. Fleur de sel

  6. Black pepper

  7. 1 tsp balsamic glaze (optional)

  8. Butter (if toasting fresh bread)


Instructions

1. Prep the Base
Toast bread slices lightly in butter or use ready-made toasts. Cool.

2. Slice Foie Gras
Cut foie gras into 12 even slices using a hot knife.

3. Spread Chutney
Spoon a thin layer of fig chutney on each toast.

4. Add Foie Gras
Place foie slice on top of chutney.

5. Garnish
Top with microgreens or chopped chives.

6. Season
Sprinkle with fleur de sel and a touch of black pepper.

7. Optional Glaze
Drizzle balsamic glaze for contrast.

8. Serve Cold
 Serve immediately or chill briefly before serving.
